Mentre stavo correndo sulla collina
Ho visto Maybellene in una Coup de Ville.
Una Cadillac stava sfrecciando in aperta strada
Ma niente poteva sorpassare la mia Ford V8.
La Cadillac faceva circa 95,
E ha rischiato di andare in testacoda.

La Ford si è surriscaldata e non ha potuto fare altro,
Poi è diventato nuvoloso e ha cominciato a piovere
Ho suonato il clacson per la via

E così ho beccato Maybellene sulla collina.
